Pero estos no fueron los únicos participantes, ni mucho menos los mazos más jugados. Parece mentira pero los más jugados fueron los que ahora mismo se consideran más fuertes en el formato y sin embargo no consiguieron poner a ninguno en el podio de honor. Death and Taxes, el popular mazo mono blanco consistente en atrancar al rival se quedó a las puertas con cuatro jugadores en todo el torneo. El otro pilar, "Sneak & Show", tampoco metió a nadie entre los mejores todo y que hasta tres jugadores inscribieron su lista de este mazo.
El resto de mazos fue diverso, pero llama la atención que estuvieran representados dos tipos de mazos de tribu: Elfos y Fragmentados. Sin embargo nuestros amigos de piel verde, los Goblins, están de capa caída y nadie se animó a jugarlos.
También llama la atención no encontrar ningún mazo de control, y la ausencia total de Jaces, the Mind Sculptor. Parece que el camino a seguir es el de tomar el control del Tempo de la partida.
Destaca también el poco respeto que tienen los jugadores por el cementerio y esto lo supo aprovechar muy bien Victor Castillo eligiendo el mazo de Dredge para alzarse con la victoria al final.
Hace especial ilusión y demuestra lo abierto del formato que haya tantos tipos de mazo, donde cualquier idea sea válida a la hora de armar tu baraja. Y es significativo que después del GP de Washington no estuviera lleno de mazos calcados a los mejores posicionados.
Por otra parte durante la tarde se disputó el clásico Commander de la tarde donde se alzó con la victoria Manuel Gomez con Iname, Death Aspect, en segunda posición Sergi Herrero (Yo!!) con Marath, Will of the Wild en tercera posición David Fernández con Prossh, Skyraider of Kher. Ernest Sanchez en cuarta posición y sin premio con Rafiq of the Many .
